One of the questions we get most frequently is the best way to care for Nudge apparel in the laundry to ensure that it stays in almost-new condition for as long as possible. In a way, it makes me really happy when people ask that because it shows that they love our apparel and want to do whatever they can to increase the lifespan of their new favorite shirt.

Just kidding. Unlike Phyllis' mittens, a Nudge shirt or sweatshirt is very easy to wash. The directions don't change whether it's a 100% cotton t-shirt or a tri-blend hoodie sweatshirt, and the directions are printed right on the back tag of your garment.
On some of our newer shirts, we've started adding our own customized back tags with all of the relevant information for you in an effort to grow our brand recognition (in case someone buys something on Amazon or in one of our wholesale vendors we want them to know what brand the shirt is!).
This is what one of our new back tags looks like and it has the washing information above the size.
The same goes for a new cotton-poly or tri-blend, which has the information on the second back tag behind the sizing tag.
The best way to wash your shirts is to turn the shirt inside out and wash it cold with similar colors. Because the ink is screen-printed rather than sublimated on with heat like a shirt from a larger company, the ink could be stripped from the garment if it is washed as it were worn.
Now not to worry - if it does sneak into the washing machine right-side out (is that the opposite of inside out?), it will survive a few washes, but just don't make it into a habit.
The best thing about the material of the shirt is that it won't lose its shape throughout the cycles of many washes. Even if the color of the ink or design fades (it will take a very long time for that!), at least the shirt will still fit.
